Lab testing/guaranteed analysis came in today for the first two treat varieties! Only thing left is logo/label design x_x
Our LLC got approved, got a domain and hosting, got a business Paypal account (and Paypal Here!) Just waiting on lab results and we can start selling treats :)
Making more dog biscuits! Some of these will be sent to the New Jersey Feed lab for guaranteed analysis testing. After that I need to so some more paperwork for the Department of Agriculture and then I can legally sell them! Honestly the hardest part is going to be designing a label I’m happy with..
Watson continues to like his homemade treats! I’ve given a couple baggies out to people at work who have dogs and all seem to like them :)
It looks likely I will go through the trouble of the necessary paperwork to start offering them up on Etsy soon! Small batches and only a few varieties at first but I’d love to do custom orders or take suggestions!
I made biscuits for Watson yesterday. Given his happy faces here I think he liked them. They are pumpkin-flax with some oats. It’s a prototype recipe and I only had a biscuit cutter available. They’re 1.5” and that may be a bit big. It’s very likely that I’ll refine this a bit and start selling them.
Watson was neutered right before Xmas. He ended up being bilaterally cryptorchid and required a much more intensive surgery than a regular neuter. One testicle did not descend and was in his abdomen. It has fused to some other organs His procedure took several hours and cost upwards of $700. He has a 6 or 7 inch incision along his abdomen.
He is just fine however. His sutures come out on Monday. But he has been confined to his crate since 12/21 and allowed very little activity. :( His incision looks good, but I feel bad that he has been crated pretty much 24/7 except for bathroom breaks and some brief cuddle time. Earlier today I MAY have let him run around in the 8 inches of snow we have outside for a few minutes..
